Ashtothram is a form of Archana worship usually offered to the deity with a recital of 108 names of a deity.It is an extended form of Astakam. It is derived from Sanskrit words Ashta and Uttaram. It consists of the names of a god in its 108 forms.

Shoolini Durga is one wing of Lord Sarabeswara.Sarabha is an avatar of Lord Shiva and he took this form to bring into control Lord Narasimha an avatar of Vishnu. A combination of (Samput as they call) Srabha , Pratyangara and Shoolini Durga mantra is normally recited for destruction of nenemies. Pratyangara, Shoolini Durga and sarabha mantras are also recited separtely.
